'Manches' is a is a London– and Oxford-based commercial law firm. The firms' family law department is consistently rated as the market leader in this area (Chambers Guide 2007) [1]
Manches was established in 1937 by Sidney Manches and his wife Judith - the first husband and wife to practise in partnership. Their daughter, Jane Simpson [2] is the founder and head of the family law department at Manches, and Chairman of the firm.
The firm sponsors the Manches Cup, one of the largest regattas in the UK and the leading sporting and social event for the legal industry.[3]
