MANOR PARK, LONDON

'Manor Park' is the name of an area in the London Borough of Newham, as well as of the local railway station and cemetery. There is another railway station - Woodgrange Park. The large City of London Cemetery and Crematorium is also situated here.
The area is in the London postal district of E12.
The main roads traversing are Romford Road and High Street North.
The local population tends to be somewhat mobile, consisting of a minority of older inhabitants, supplemented by groups of immigrant communities, particularly from the Indian subcontinent, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and particularly in the most recent period from Eastern Europe, Russia and other former Republics of the Soviet Union.
Manor Park's Itchycoo Park (officially Little Ilford Park) was made famous in the song by the Small Faces, whose lead singer Steve Marriott lived in the area. Manor Park also has an amateur football team called A.C. Manor Park playing in the AFL.
There is also an area in Hither Green, South London called Manor Park, as well as there being numerous parks in London called Manor Park.
Manor Park was part of the County Borough of East Ham until 1965, when the Greater London area was created.
