MARBLE HILL (METRO-NORTH STATION)

The 'Marble Hill' Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Marble Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York via the Hudson Line and is one of four express stations on that line south of Croton-Harmon seeing most trains minus peak hour trains to/from Poughkeepsie. Trains leave for New York City every 25 to 35 minutes on weekdays. It is 9.8 miles (15.8 km) from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately 21 minutes.
The station is located at the foot of the Broadway Bridge on the northern side of the Harlem Ship Canal in the Marble Hill neighborhood. Also at this spot is the Marble Hill–225th Street station on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line () of the New York City Subway.


Despite its northern location, this station is frequently used by commuters going into and out of Manhattan, especially those whose destinations are on the West Side (including Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and Columbia University). With the easy subway transfer, many commuters choose to save money in exchange for a slightly longer commute, thus avoiding the expensive surcharge for taking Metro-North directly into Grand Central Terminal. For example, a peak ticket from Tarrytown to Marble Hill is currently $6.75, as opposed to $9.75 into Grand Central.
