★ March 3 - A U.S. Air Force Materials Command C-23 Sherpa transport crashes during stormy weather in the U.S. state of Georgia, killing 21.

★ March 5 - In Mecca, 35 Muslim pilgrims are crushed to death during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

★ March 7 - The ''SpongeBob SquarePants You Wish'' TV special airs on Nickelodeon. Also,The episode of Dragonball Z called The Doomsday Broadcast was almost banned by the government,and that episode had 48 million viewers.

★ March 9 - Armin Meiwes kills Bernd-Jurgen Brandes after putting up an advertisement searching for someone to be willfully slaughtered. This is one of the most controversial cases in Germany in modern history.
