MARK ANDERSON (WRITER)

'Mark Anderson' (born August 13, 1967) is a journalist and author based in western Massachusetts. He has written for ''Harper's'', ''The Boston Globe'', ''Wired'', ''Science,'' and the ''Rolling Stone'' and is a regular contributor to ''New Scientist'' and ''Wired News''. He is a proponent of the "Oxfordian" theory, that the Elizabethan court poet-playwright Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford wrote the works conventionally attributed to William Shakespeare. His book, ''"Shakespeare" By Another Name'' (Gotham Books, 2005), is the first ever Oxfordian literary biography — connecting de Vere's life and times to Shakespeare's plays and poems.
