MARSEILLE MARINE FIRE BATTALION

(Redirected from Marseilles Marine Fire Brigade)
Fire exercise aboard the frigate ''Lamotte-Picquet'' — one of the main problems is the concentration of very calorific water vapour, therefore the raincoat-like equipment

The 'Marseille Marine Fire Battalion', or in French '''le Bataillon de marins-pompiers de Marseille''' or 'BMPM', is the fire and rescue service for the city of Marseille and the Mediterranean Maritime Region. The battalion is a branch of the French Navy or ''Marine Nationale'', and consists of directly recruited military personnel, like the French Gendarmerie.
