MARTY PEVEY
'Marty Ashley Pevey' (born December 25, 1962 in Savannah, Georgia) is the current first base coach for the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball team.
Pevey formerly managed the International League's Syracuse Sky Chiefs (AAA), the Eastern League's New Haven Ravens, (AA) and the Florida State League's Dunedin Blue Jays (High-A). These three teams are all affiliates of MLB's Toronto Blue Jays. Towards the end of the 2005 season, he was named Toronto's first base coach, replacing Ernie Whitt, who returned to the bench coach position after serving as both bench coach and first base coach for most of the season.
Pevey also was a catcher for the Montreal Expos in 1989.
