MASTER SHAKE
'Master Shake' is one of the three lead fictional characters on the animated television series ''Aqua Teen Hunger Force''. Shake is an anthropomorphic pistachio milkshake who appears as a large white cup with cream-colored eyes and a wide mouth, a pink "bendy" straw, and what appear to be two yellow "chicken gloves". Being the largest ATHF member (he stands 5'6" at the lid), their house's door is shaped in Shake's silhoutte (including his straw appendage), despite the fact that it is bigger than him. His personality is consistently portrayed as lazy, stingy, simple-minded, mean-spirited, sadistic, and self-centered, all classic signs of histrionic narcissism. The character's role in the series is to make wild and illogical decisions, presumptions, and demands. He also considers himself to be the group's leader, but at the same time he is more of the antagonist in most episodes. Master Shake is voiced by Dana Snyder.

Personality
Much of the series' crude humor is based on the thoughtless abuses inflicted by Shake. Oblivious to any suffering his behavior causes he will become violently petulant the moment he feels he has been wronged in the slightest. He is utterly incapable of learning anything from even the most catastrophic consequences of his actions. Master Shake is rarely productive and can often be found watching television or, more characteristically, destroying the television and demanding a new one. Shake's usual victim is the relatively passive and generally clueless Meatwad. Shake also often causes trouble for their neighbor Carl, usually as an unintended consequence of one of Shake's ill-conceived plans that Carl gets caught up in. However, Carl and Shake occasionally unite in unlikely schemes in the hopes that they will each gain something. Shake is often killed or maimed when his plans backfire on him, but even then, he has usually learned nothing from it. An example was in "Super Squatter", when Shake forces himself, Frylock, and Meatwad to live without power, due to him not paying the bills, and at the end of the episode, he exclaims "Hell no, I pay no bills. I pay you no mind!" obviously implying he didn't learn anything. Also, Frylock claims the only responsibility Shake learns from all this is paying bills "In the most ass way possible!" In a deleted scene from the movie, Shake reveals that he has low self-esteem. In the movie, it is revealed that he can remove his straw. Also, in the movie it is revealed that Shake made an unsuccessful CD, wherein he plays the acoustic guitar, entitled "Nude Love". In pursuit of his schemes, Shake will often commit serious crimes. In the episode "Super Hero", Shake attempts to become a superhero, and to gain superpowers, he steals several barrels of toxic waste. Shake has also been arrested for DUI at least once.
Biography
Living Conditions
Shake is the only Aqua Teen not to have his own room, confirmed at the very end of the episode "Handbanana", when he screams, "I don't have a room!". He has used Frylock's room in the past to read pornographic magazines ("Butt Frenzy") and dress up in an attempt to impress women. He seems to sleep on the chair in front of the television. In the episode "PDA", he is seen sleeping on the living room floor. In "Super Model", he recovers from surgery in Meatwad's room.
Lies
Shake has a tendency to concoct elaborate and seemingly pointless lies to explain his every action and decision. More often than not, he lies to the simple and gullible Meatwad. However, he typically doesn't firmly commit to his more poorly thought-out lies, tending to abandon them the moment someone begins to doubt his credibility and replacing them with even more outrageous lies. He frequently uses this tactic when he is on the losing end of an argument. A common far-fetched lie he uses is "Dracula called, and he's coming tonight!" Sometimes he ends up believing his own lies, such as in the episode "Bus of the Undead", wherein trying to make Meatwad scared of the schoolbus parked outside, he ends up convincing himself that the bus is either full of vampires, or possesed by Dracula. He also once threw himself off a cliff thinking that in doing so he would become immortal, just like in Highlander, a lie he had concocted just moments earlier to trick someone into killing himself. Shake wound up in the hospital in traction for several weeks as a result, claiming afterward to be immortal.
Family
In the episode "Ezekial", a smaller milkshake, named 'Jesus Ezekial Jesus' by Meatwad, was assumed to be Shake's son, bearing his strong, cup-like resemblance. This was discredited when Frylock discovered that Shake has never had sex, doesn't have a penis, and that Ezekial was at least 4000 years old. Shake's age is also stated to be either 30 or 40 years old. Although in one episode before Frylock says he is 21 although he seemed unsure ("Revenge of the Trees") Shake does not have a brain, as discovered in the episode "Unremarkable Voyage" (and reconfirmed in "Deleted Scenes"). However, in the movie it is revealed that Dr. Weird gave some of his hair and his appendix to function as Shake's brain, but this was later shown to be part of Frylock's false memories.
Health
Shake has also been known for having numerous medical conditions. In the episode "Super Bowl", Shake obtains diabetes and cancer. In "Moonajuana", he claims to have glaucoma, which is false. He has also survived a mass invasion of his body by hypnogerms and a bout with pneumonia ("Ol' Drippy"), as well as two apparent cases of food poisoning ("Unremarkable Voyage", "Hypno-Germ"). According to Frylock, Shake is a candidate for heart disease ("Diet")
Shake has either been grievously injured or even killed on more than a few occasions, such as in an encounter with the Broodwich and having a guitar/axe wedged in his head for not giving money to Zakk Wylde. He also contracted radiation poisoning in the episode "Super Hero", which caused his entire body to melt, yet he still lived. He committed suicide in "Video Ouija", and attempted a second suicide in "Ezekial". He has had his entire skin removed, and was later vaporized by the home security robot, Rudy ("Carl"). He has been lobotomized ("Broodwich"), taken a direct blast from Carl's shotgun in "Deleted Scenes", and has been hit by a cement truck in the movie. He survived throwing himself off of a cliff, and later, was struck by lightning in "Dumber Dolls". He has accidentally bisected himself with a sword ("Dirtfoot"). He had his right hand dissolved by alien digestive juices in "Super Spore", and lost both his hands to Li'l Death Bear in the movie. He has twice been electrocuted ("The Shaving", "eDork"). He has sucked out his own innards through his straw with a wet/dry vac in an attempt to lose weight ("Diet"). He has even had his entire body altered by radical surgery in "Super Model", only to ask Frylock to undo the damages with a second total-body surgery.
Inconsideracy
Shake often eats lavishly, leaving his two roomates to subside on considerably less food- such as his having steak and eggs for breakfast, as opposed to Frylock's mug of oatmeal and Meatwad's "sandcakes"; he later also made reference to having duckling a l'orange for lunch, which was flown in from Alsace ("Super Sir Loin"). Like the other two Aqua Teens, it has been suggested that Shake can subsist on little other than sand (albeit "ketchupped up"), but has a definite distaste for it. Known to have a taste for Steak-Umms ("Robositter"), taco pie ("The Dressing"), cheesesteak subs with yellow peppers ("Super Squatter"), and spring rolls (which he often mistakes for miniature burritos) ("The"). Prefers bacon on his sandwiches, but no crusts; strongly dislikes sun-dried tomatoes ("Broodwich"). Enjoys energy drinks, and pretzels ("Super Squatter"). He has expressed distaste for Frylock's cooking on several occasions ("Super Birthday Snake" where he claimed that it was "jelled fat" and in Revenge of the Trees", where he flash-fried a cow instead of eating "T-[ofu] bones".) Terminally addicted to the snack-chip "Enchiladitos" ("Super Bowl"). Shake sometimes drinks, but has a low tolerance for alcohol ("Frat Aliens").
Love of Horror Monsters
Shake enjoys unusual horror films, such as Assisted Living Dracula, and Vegetable Man. He has also been shown to have an unusual obsession with vampires and Dracula, and seems extremely paranoid about them. In the episode "Bad Replicant" Frylock remarked that Shake thinks that the blood drive is a pyramid scheme run by "Dracula and his night slaves".
Powers and Abilities
Shake appears to have no useful special abilities, in fact he is at a disadvantage physically because he has no arms (Master Shake himself has deemed his hands as "useless"). The only "superpower" that Master Shake has ever demonstrated is the ability to squirt his liquid milkshake at targets, but whenever he attempts this, the amount of shake, and the pressure are so low that only a small glob of shake plops out of his straw. However, Shake has the ability to suck large amounts of liquid through his straw, claiming to require 85 gallons of liquid intake a day. He is seen draining Carl's pool in this manner in the episode "Bus of the Undead." Also, Shake is very proficient in the use of firearms, especially shotguns and crossbows; he also has a penchant for using chainsaws and can be sometimes seen wielding a baseball bat. Rarely does he wield a sword; cases where he does usually end in catastrophe ("Dumber Dolls", "Dirtfoot"). Though he has the ability to make objects explode simply by throwing them on the ground, other characters have also demonstrated this ability. It seems in some episodes that he does this ability on accident. In one episode he throws a brush on the ground to Carl's lawn, when it exploded he jumped back in suprise.("The Clowning") Another time was when he threw a plastic drill on the ground and after it exploded he says "It's not metric!"("Kidney Car") In the episode "Carl Wash", Shake is shown teleporting from the Aqua Teens' living room to the outside left of Carl's house in a shower of sparks; whether this is an actual ability or not has yet to be confirmed. In the movie, he claims to have a "Straw-dar", used by pulling out his straw. However, this is most likely a sarcastic reference to Frylock's "Frydar". He fancies himself a singer, but in the movie, his singing is revealed to be so horrendous, that it drove the Insane-O-Flex (a supposedly unstoppable killer exercise machine) to commit suicide.
In the PlayStation 2 video game "Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am", Shake displays some degree of skill in the art of golfing as well as melee combat.
Other Media
Master Shake appeared in 2 episodes of ''Robot Chicken'', In "Suck It," he is seen as a member of the Adult Swim council with Peter Griffin and Space Ghost. In " 1987," he is seen with Hal Sparks and Michael Ian Black in a parody of I love the 70's, 80's and 90's.
