During this time, at the suggestion of his good friend SIPS TANG, Max spent his days writing rhymes, which paid off upon release in early 2005 when his longtime friend, now manager Mike Bruno, brought some of his rhymes to fellow Harlem native Jim Jones, who quickly signed the rapper to a two-album deal Asylum Records.
He was featured in Jim Jones' album Hustler's P.O.M.E. (Product of My Environment) released November 7, 2006.
