MEATWAD
'Meatwad' is a fictional character in the animated series ''Aqua Teen Hunger Force''. He is a mostly peaceful, childishly simple-minded mass of compressed meat that was not approved for human consumption. He is voiced by Dave Willis.
Meatwad's room is empty except for filth, his "dolls" (see below), a jambox, meaningless crayon scribblings on the walls (some show crude depictions of his house mates), a colander, and a bed, which is a grill with hot coals under it (although he sometimes sleeps on a bed of sand instead). He has a closet full of sand, which he eats with ketchup on occasion. At one point, Master Shake is also shown eating it. The light switch by his door has been removed from its socket and lowered so he can reach it. His body consumes all waste materials, so he never needs to go to the bathroom. He compares it to the , except "Two men enter - no man leaves." (However, this may be a retcon according to the episode "The.")

Personality
Simple, gullible, and widely regarded as a child, with a doe-eyed stare and nearly-toothless crooked grin that reflects his simple-mindedness, Meatwad is constantly abused by Master Shake through his half-thought out practical jokes. His brain is first introduced as a brain-shaped squeaky cat toy, but later found to be Cheeze Whiz. However, this is in Frylock's false memories. Frylock often acts like Meatwad's parent, trying to educate him and protect him from more mature themes (and from Shake's verbal and physical abuse). In "PDA" it is referenced that Meatwad is an orphan. Shake does give Meatwad information on important things (like brushing your teeth), but usually skews the facts to favor him. Despite Frylock's attempts however, Shake rages on and the Mooninites have repeatedly exposed him to excessive swearing, violence, drugs, and pornography. Meatwad claims to be Jewish in "The Cloning," although, like most of his ramblings, this claim is probably of no actual significance. He also claimed to have retardation in "Ezekial." Meatwad also seems to like eating electrical wire and is afraid of scorpions. In "Global Grilling" it is also implied that he is Mexican American.
Meatwad also has a more sinister side and can become quickly corrupted. The Mooninites have persuaded him to commit crimes on several occasions, and once Meatwad has any kind of power he focuses his megalomaniacal tendencies on Shake (presumably as a form of punishment for all the abuse Shake put him through). This side of Meatwad reached its apex when, after brandishing a semiautomatic pistol and threatening everyone present, he shot himself in front of Shake, Frylock and their guest, Tera Patrick. Less gruesome examples include: using the robotic body developed by Frylock after Carl was decapitated to exact his revenge on Shake by throwing him up in the air and blowing him up with a barrage of missiles, convincing their robot housesitter, Rudy that Shake had stolen his wallet (leading Rudy to vaporize him), becoming king of the Mucus Men and having Carl suffocated in snot (although the events of that episode were all in Shake's head), and subtly manipulating Shake into getting more and more cheap plastic surgery until Shake is a hideous freak (and later still trying to convince him of the benefits of becoming a bulemic).
Meatwad has been shown to be a rather large fan of rap and hip-hop, playing songs from MC Pee Pants, Sir Loin, and Little Brittle and the C-Bag (all reincarnations of one character, voiced by the artist mc chris) over and over again, usually late at night while his roommates are trying to sleep, thus incurring their wrath. He also listens to real life rappers like Ludacris and Eminem. In DangerDoom's song "A.T.H.F," during the first 30 seconds or so one hears Meatwad rapping. He can also be heard rapping about a diet in a Spanish adult swim ad, found here [1]. was converted to heavy metal once after being tricked by Sir Loin, but he began listening to rap again later. Meatwad has demonstrated the ability to shred on the guitar such as in Party All the Time.
Meatwad has developed considerably since the first season. He has become somewhat more intelligent, and he frequently outsmarts Shake in the later seasons. His relationship with Shake has also changed. Whereas in the first seasons his relationship with Shake is pure contempt, later on Meatwad forms a rough friendship with Shake (based on their mutual stupidity), often to Frylock's detriment. In the episode "Grim Reaper Gutters" Meatwad and Shake enjoy each others company while talking about the "good old times". He is also shown to be a fan of both Geddy Lee and Zakk Wylde (in the episode "Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary", he knows exactly who they are).
Hobbies
'Dancing'- Meatwad loves to dance. He does this a lot in the MC Pee Pants episodes. On many promos and even in the main theme song you can see him do this. He always dances in the same fashion, by taking out his 2 "arms" and moving them in a stereotypical Egyptian-like motion.
'Singing'- Meatwad also sings on several occasions. He usually quotes verses from various songs from bands such as Rush. Or he just raps Mc Pee Pants songs like "For Da Shorteez" "I want Candy" or "Come Visit Me Dawg" On the film soundtrack, he sings Misfits and Mistakes, a full song in a hidden track.
'Video Games'- Meatwad also enjoys playing video games; in many episodes he is seen playing what looks like an outdated Atari 2600 system. The episode "Video Ouija" centers around him playing a video game to contact the dead.
The games he has played to date
'Clam Digger' (A game in which the object is to find parking)
'Anal Blazer' (A game created by Shake)
'Ant Madness' (Another game created by Shake)
'Moon Master' (A cheap game created by the Mooninites to lure people into their scam)
'Video Ouija' (A game that can contact the dead)
'Insult Master' (A game which seems to consist of two men insulting each other)
'Knitting Game' (A fictional game that seems to consist of two people competing to see who can knit a sweater faster)
'Crystal Meth:Nightmare Killing Spree' (Mentioned in movie)
'Clam Digger: Head to Head' (Mentioned in movie)
'Guitar'- Meatwad has shown several times that he is proficient at playing the guitar.
Age
It has not been officially stated what Meatwad's age is, but many clues reference to him being a young child. In "Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary", when Zakk Wylde is about to appear, Meatwad exclaims, "Hey y'all, it's snowing! They're going to cancel school!" In "Robositter" Frylock builds Meatwad a babysitter, and Meatwad himself points out that if he were to get a job it would be a violation of child labor laws. In "Super Trivia" Frylock pointed out that Meatwad is not old enough to drink. Frylock gave him a time-out in "Super Spore". In the episode "Mayhem of the Mooninites", he himself states "I'm pretty young".
Meatwad cannot count very well, can only scribble, believes in Santa Claus and plays with dolls who he thinks are real. In many episodes Meatwad watches young child TV shows. He says they are his favorite shows. Meatwad often will fall for pranks that only children would fall for. In the episode "The Cloning", Meatwad talks about having to pay child support payments, and of his wife leaving him. There is, however, no evidence produced to back the claims to date.
A contradiction is found in Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary, where Meatwad states that he does not know his age, yet believes it to be about fifty-five. This may be due to Shake's asking him if he was fifty-five or fifty-six.
It is also entirely possible that Meatwad's age is unknown because none of the Aqua Teens’ ages have been revealed. Shake has made inconsistent claims about his own age, while Frylock has not mentioned his own age yet. Meatwad often acts young, but at times speaks about things no ordinary child would know about or understand, such as in the episode "Super Model" when Shake became obsessed with his appearance.
Dolls
Meatwad is occasionally shown playing with dolls and other toys made out of household items, which he considers his "friends". He is fiercely loyal to these and all other imaginary friends.
★ 'Vanessa' is an apple, sometimes shown with a moustache. According to Meatwad, she is an investment banker married to Dewey.
★ 'Dewey' is a spent paper towel tube. According to Meatwad, he is an engineer on the Supertrain that is supposed to run straight through Jupiter, although the description constantly changes. It should also be noted that Shake had used it as a telescope before Meatwad turned it into a doll.
★ 'Boxy Brown' is a cardboard box sprouting an afro. He may be more than imaginary in that unlike Dewey and Vanessa, he speaks to Meatwad and sometimes seems to know things that Meatwad doesn't. He is a send-up of blaxploitation heroes, most notably John Shaft. His name is a play on ''Foxy Brown''. Whenever Boxy speaks, a funky 1970s beat plays in the background. He has been called "Duke of New York, A #1", a reference to ''Escape from New York''. Meatwad is often intimidated by Boxy, whom he thinks threatens him with a knife. While Boxy seems to speak, only Meatwad can hear what he says.
★ 'Squirrley' is a stiff squirrel. Meatwad smokes him with his static electricity power in "Balloonenstein". Squirrely is also seen at the beginning of the episode "The Dressing", where it appears as though Squirrely is kept inside of Meatwad's body.
★ 'Jeffy' is a coiled up garden hose. He only appears in the episode "Boost Mobile". Shake claims to kill him with his mind. Meatwad seems to be aware to the fact that Jeffy is only a garden hose.
★ 'Happy Time Harry' was one of Meatwad's dolls for one episode (Dumber Dolls). He is a balding man with poor posture dressed in boxers, and red high heels, and has a switchblade where his hand should be. Happy Time Harry is a suicidal, drug-addicted nihilist (but cheaply-priced) who eventually drags Meatwad down into depression until the very end of the episode. Harry even frightens Shake into submission, and is more than willing to call Frylock out when Frylock threatens to shoot him. Happy Time Harry is voiced by comedian David Cross in all his appearances.
★ 'Jiggle Billy' is a hillbilly action figure that Meatwad originally wanted before Frylock bought him Happy Time Harry instead. Frylock eventually gets it for him but Meatwad did not really care about Jiggle Billy anymore. Jiggle Billy also appears in other episodes such as "The Last One." Meatwad pulls what appears to be the remains of Jiggle Billy's body (minus his head, which was removed when Jiggle Billy shot himself in the head with his musket after Happy Time Harry made him depressed) out of his meat after pulling out Squirelly in the episode "The Dressing."
Unlike Boxy, whom only Meatwad (and the audience) can hear, Happy Time Harry and Jiggle Billy can both speak for themselves and be heard by everyone. Both are capable of independant motion of their arms and heads; in Harry's case, he is fully capable of walking on his own, as he is not secured to a platform, though due to ill health caused by his drug and alcohol addictions, he frequently vomits and passes out, resulting in his becoming non-ambulatory.
Powers and abilities
Meatwad rolls and hops to get from one place to another. As he is made of ground meat, he has no skeletal structure and can manipulate his body in much the same way as a "shapeshifter". His most commonly seen shapes are the hot dog and the igloo, though he has also been seen as a star, a hammer, a bridge, a fist — which extends its middle finger, "Samurai Lincoln" (or Wayne Gretzky, depending on the observers point of view), a large office building, a "meat monster", and a potted flower (while under the influence of prescription medication). He may have turned in to an arachnid-like creature in the episode "Hypno-Germ", though this could also have simply been the "hypno-germs" altering Frylock's perception of reality. Meatwad can also use sections of his body to form arms, and has been shown with up to four simultaneously. If this "shapeshifting" is considered a "superpower", it would be the only one Meatwad has consistently demonstrated on the show, not counting "powers" given to him during the course of an episode.
Shake and Frylock have also used Meatwad as a make-shift wheel to pull the "Danger Cart" — a wooden cart they use for transportation since they can't afford a car.
