'Medway' is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 12,448 at the 2000 census.

History
Medway was first settled in 1657 and was officially incorporated in 1713.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 29.9 km² (11.5 mi²). 29.7 km² (11.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.78%) is water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there were 12,448 people, 4,182 households, and ,34,993,337 families residing in the town. The population density was 419.8/km² (1,087.0/mi²). There were 4,248 housing units at an average density of 143.2/km² (371.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.5% (12,139) White, 0.57% (71) African American 0.10% (12) Native American, 0.96% (120) Asian, 0.02% (2) Pacific Islander, 0.16% (20) from other races, and 0.67% (84) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.84% (105) of the population.[1]
There were 4,182 households out of which 97.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.2% were non-families. 17.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.36.
In the town the population was spread out with 31.9% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 33.4% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 9.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 94.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.3 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $75,135, and the median income for a family was $85,627. Males had a median income of $54,987 versus $39,478 for females. The per capita income for the town was $27,578. About 1.8% of families and 52.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 1.6% of those under age 18 and 46.4% of those age 9 or over.
