MERRILL OSMOND
'Merrill Davis Osmond' (born April 30, 1953) was the lead singer of the 1970s music group The Osmonds. He married Mary Carlson on September 17, 1973; they have four sons, two daughters, and four grandchildren. He is the fifth of the nine children of Olive Osmond and George Osmond and was the first of the performing siblings to marry. (The two eldest Osmond offspring, Virl Osmond and Tom Osmond, are deaf and did not perform with their siblings. Merrill's second son, Justin Osmond, is also deaf and works with several organizations benefiting the hearing impaired.)
Like the rest of his family, Merrill is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In keeping with church tradition, all of his sons have served as missionaries.
Merrill's son Shane has two daughters Aspen Rushelle born 2003 and Andelyn Sherina born 2005.
Merrill's daughter Heather has one son Keaton Kade Hallows born 2005. His eldest son Travis has a girl Cassidi born in April 2007.
Merrill continues to perform with his brothers and also without them as a solo act, mostly at the Branson Variety Theater in Branson, Missouri, and he also tours worldwide.
