MICHAEL ANGELIS


'Michael Angelis' (b. January 18 1952, Liverpool, England) is a British actor.
Angelis is best known for narrating the British ''Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends'' series from 1991 to 2007. He narrated six American Thomas episodes in 2003, after the previous narrator Alec Baldwin left, but was soon replaced by Michael Brandon.
Michael Angelis was also one of the stars of the famous 1982 BBC drama serial ''Boys from the Blackstuff'' and its comedies such as ''Luv'' and ''The Liver Birds'' in which he appeared from seasons 5-9. He narrated John Peel's autobiography, ''Margrave of the Marshes'', on BBC Radio 4 in 2005.
In 2006 he starred in the movie ''Fated'', set in his home town of Liverpool.
In 2007, he starred in episodes of ''Midsomer Murders'' and ''The Bill''.
Angelis has been the longtime companion of actress Helen Worth, whom he later married.
