MICHAEL HOGAN (ACADEMIC)
'Michael Hogan' is an American academic who on August 1, 2007 was named as the 14th president of the University of Connecticut, succeeding Philip Austin who held the post 11 years.[1]
Between 2004 and 2007, Hogan was provost and executive vice president at the University of Iowa, where he taught history. He has written 11 books covering U.S. diplomacy and international economics.
He holds an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Northern Iowa, and a doctorate in history from the University of Iowa.
