MIKE PILAVACHI

'Mike Pilavachi' (1958- ) is the co-founder and leader of the Soul Survivor charity based in Watford, United Kingdom. He is a Greek Cypriot, formerly an accountant, and is famous for his fondness of loud shirts (particularly ponchos); his entertaining sermons and tirades, with a penchant for taking the mick out of Ben Cantelon, Tim Hughes, the current and former worship pastors at his church (as well as young study buddy Andy Croft); his passion for God; and his desire to see people converted to Christianity. He is the author of many books, some co-written with Craig Borlase, and some on the issue of social justice.^[1]
He helped found and run Soul in the City London in 2004 and now is in the midst of the project Soul in the City Durban in 2009. He is also one of the founders of the Hope 08 project.
