MILTON LILBOURNE
'Milton Lilbourne' is a village and civil parish in Kennet District in the English county of Wiltshire and lies in Pewsey Vale between Pewsey and Burbage. The population is listed on the Kennet District Council Website as 512 [accessed Oct 2006]. These days it is largely a residential area centred around the Manor in the centre of the Village. The nearest shops are in Pewsey about 2 miles away. The parish is unusual in that it a long thin shape and is one of the few parishes to have boundaries on the uplands to both south and north of the vale.
Its facilities include St Peters Church, the Village Hall with playing fields and then out on the Pewsey-Burbage road in the area known as Little Salisbury is the "Three Horse Shoes" pub. The church has elements dating back to the 12th century.
The village also has a youth football team called Milton Lilbourne FC who play in the under 15's age group.
