MINGANIE REGIONAL COUNTY MUNICIPALITY, QUEBEC


'Minganie' is a county regional municipality of Quebec in Canada. The regional seat is Havre-Saint-Pierre. Anticosti Island is included within this region. It has a land area of 93,654.495 km² (36,160.20 sq mi), making it larger than the U.S. state of Indiana. The population at the 2006 census was 6,390 inhabitants, about half of whom lived in Havre-Saint-Pierre. The census grouped Minganie with neighboring Basse-Côte-Nord Territory.
