MINIMUM ENROUTE ALTITUDE

'Minimum Enroute Altitude' (MEA) is the recommended minimum altitude that an aircraft should fly on a segment of an airway in Instrument meteorological conditions, ensuring that it is safely clear of terrain and obstacles (see MOCA) and high enough to receive ground-based navigation aids (see MRA).
