Missions
Mexico currently has:
★ 71 Embassies
★ 30 Consulates-Generals
★ 37 Consulates
★ 1 Representative Office in Ramallah
★ 1 Trade Office in Taiwan
★ 144 Honorary consulates around the world
★ Mexico also has 2 permanent representations to the United Nations in New York and Geneva.
★ There are also permanent missions to the OAS, UNESCO, EU, OECD, and ALADI.
★ Mexico also has permanent observer mission status to the AU, CAN, CE, Mercosur, NAM and Unasur.
Organization
The person in charge of Mexicos Ministry of Foreign Affairs is called 'Secretary of Foreign Affairs'. The current Secretary of Foreign Affairs is Patricia Espinosa Cantellano. Within the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Mexico has devided its Ministry by regions and multilateral affairs:
★ Subsecretary de Foreign Relations
★ Subsecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean
★ Subsecretary for North America
★ Subsecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights
★ The Ministry also has a diplomatic school called the Institute Matias Romero (Instituto Matías Romero).
