MINNESOTA STATE HIGHWAY 610
'Minnesota State Highway 610' is a short freeway in southern Anoka County, Minnesota and northern Hennepin County, Minnesota. Highway 610 currently runs east-west between US 169 and US 10, and is numbered as a spur off US 10. The freeway is four lanes for most of its length, but expands to eight lanes at the Mississippi River bridge connecting Twin Cities suburbs Brooklyn Park and Coon Rapids.
Eventually, Highway 610 is planned to extend west to Interstate 94 in Maple Grove, and the freeway's mile markers reflect these future plans, with the zero point calibrated to this future terminus. Construction of the new section has been proposed to begin in 2010 under the Pawlenty-Molnau 2007 Transportation Plan.[2]
