'Mississippi Highway 53' ('MS 53') is a state highway in Mississippi. The highway runs approximately 40 miles from Poplarville, MS to Gulfport, MS and is part of the Mississippi Highway System. It serves a total of 3 counties (Pearl River, Hancock and Harrison). The highway begins at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 26 in Poplarville, MS and travels southeast ending at the topmost city limit line of Gulfport, MS at U.S. Highway 49.
