Eden's Europe Vlog: Modern Bitches
Eden hopes that art will distract her from the trouble with IB.
PARIS 2005
The "accidental" death of two teenagers at Clichy-sous-Bois touched off a series of violent riots that raged through France in November 2005. And for the unsuspecting international public opinion, from behind the ashes of thousands of torched vehicles there emerged the ghost of an unknown Europe, as well as of an unknown France, which keeps well hidden its millions of "second-class" citizens. The camera enters the inaccessible Parisian ghettos, the heart of the riots. And it records the anger of the youths who are stifled with no recourse other than theft and drug peddling. The screen reveals for the first time to the world the armament of the rioters. Small-bore guns, automatics, sawed-off shotguns and rifles. The youths show photographs of themselves carrying machine guns... Through searing imagery and with almost no other narrative than the lyrics of the songs of the ghetto, the documentary presents the unknown European citizens of the cités; the dark side of modern Europe, an unknown France of five million besieged and ghetto-bound citizens.

THE DARK AGES clip 1- The History Channel. Premieres 3/4/07
After the fall of Rome and before the rebirth of the Renaissance, Europe survived six centuries of continental revolution characterized by famine, plague and bloodshed -- a time known as the Dark Ages. At its worst, life in the Dark Ages was miserable, brutish and — for the fortunate — short. But through the darkness shone scattered rays of light, men and women who tended the flame of progress while the world around them descended into chaos. Those points of light brought about the footprint of modern Europe both politically and culturally. The two-hour special THE DARK AGES explores the unprecedented period spanning the fall of Rome and Europe's "medieval awakening." THE DARK AGES premieres Sunday, March 4th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The History Channel®.
Modern Talking - You're my heart, You're my soul
First formed at the end of 1984 (Thomas Anders was 21), they unexpectedly became immensely popular with their disco hit "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" with which they occupied the number one position in 35 countries including their homeland where it perched at the top for six weeks. The track was then followed by another number one hit "You Can Win If You Want" in the middle of 1985 from the The 1st Album. Soon after this second hit, Modern Talking released "Cheri, Cheri Lady" which quickly climbed to the top as well, the only track released from their second album Let's Talk About Love. The success continued with two other number one singles such as "Brother Louie" and "Atlantis is Calling" both from the third album Ready for Romance. The duo also charted high with their "Geronimo's Cadillac" from the fourth album In the Middle of Nowhere and "Jet Airliner" from their fifth album Romantic Warriors. Dieter Bohlen, Thomas Anders in the 1987 "Romantic Warriors" AlbumDuring this era Modern Talking were successful in Europe, Asia, South America, Middle East, particularly in Iran, where all Western pop music was banned after 1979 Islamic revolution, and also in several African countries. In the United Kingdom they entered the top ten only once with the song "Brother Louie" (in 1986, #4 UK). Like most European pop groups, they were almost unknown in North America, never appearing in the US charts, although they did become one hit wonders in Canada when 'Brother Louie' hit #34 in 1987. Composer Dieter Bohlen employed mood-evoking lyrics and intellectually-designed synthesizer-based music which was out of vogue in the U.S. before Modern Talking even formed. They released two albums a year between 1985 and 1987 while also promoting their singles on television all over Europe eventually selling 60 million albums within three years.

With a similar process unfolding in America, under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Americans are starting to ask themselves if their elected officials should be allowed to go down the same path, and create a North American Union. Everytime I watch this Series,i must think about this Myths.Expecially "BSG-Battlestar Galactica" tells this Exodus and Genocide done to the altaic, turkic people in a outstanding way.. I will ever ask myself, what happend to the ancient People - such as Sumerians,Hurrians,Elam etc who speak agglunating languages (only matching languages are altaic, turkic languages) - and civilisations destroyed by the invading and murdering indoaryans..The Scar of destruction, murdering and genocides from Europe to Iran and India are visible til today on every map..
