'Al Jazira Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium' (Arabic: ستاد Ù…ØÙ…د بن زايد) is a multi-use stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football and cricket matches and is the home ground of Al-Jazeera Club.
The stadiums original capacity was 15,000 but it is currently going through an expansion stage which will increase the stadiums capacity to an all seater 40,000 ultra-modern air conditioned sporting arena, and the expansion program also includes two residential towers to be built on the stadium. The project will be complete just in time to host games of the 18th Gulf Cup hosted by the UAE in January 2007.
