MOIRA LISTER
'Moira Lister, Vicomtesse d’Orthez' (b. August 6 1923, Cape Town, South Africa) is a British actress and writer.
Born in Cape Town to Major James Lister and Margaret (née Hogan), Moira Lister was educated at Parktown Convent of the Sacred Heart, Johannesburg.

She married in1951 a french officer of the Spahis, and heros of the Rif War, Jacques Vicomte d’; they have two daughters Chantal and Christobel.
Jacques, Vicomte d'orthez, is the son of André Gachassin-Lafite, vicomte d'Orthez, Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur, captain at the 3 td Regiment of the Chasseurs d'Afrique, Assistant-Attaché Militaire at the Ambassy of France at Brussels, than Membre of the High Commission of the Ministry of War in Le Creusot (1915-1918), born Rouen (France) le 23 juny 1868, dead at Paris the 2 december 1924, and of Louise van Dievoet (1880-1964) (The wittnesses of this marriage ware the general and the General ).
Louise van Dievoet is the descendent of and old of the old of Brussels, the said , she was the sister of the famous belgian architect , and her great-mother Hortense Poelaert (married with Eugène van Dievoet), was the sister of one of the greatest architects of Europe.
Career
She began her acting career on stage in South Africa and then went on to act in the London theater as a teenager. Lister began working in films in 1944, and appeared in such movies as ''The Limping Man''.
She also had a regular role in the first series of the BBC radio comedy ''Hancock's Half Hour''.
She belongs to the British Catholic Stage Guild.
