MONOCLE (2007 MAGAZINE)

'''Monocle''' is the title of a multimedia venture by Canadian journalist and entrepreneur Tyler Brûlé, spearheaded by a monthly print magazine with the same name. It is edited by Andrew Tuck. The Creative Director is Richard Spencer Powell, and the Director of Web and Broadcast is Dan Hill.
Described by CBC News reporter Harry Forestell as a "meeting between Foreign Policy and Vanity Fair", the magazine purports to provide readers with a global perspective on international affairs, breaking away from traditional, regionalized journalistic canons.
The magazine started circulating on February 15, 2007, priced at 12 euros and featuring articles on subjects as diverse as the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force, Chinese investment in Africa, and the best Portuguese-language Sunday newspapers.
