Mordialloc bridge

The southern end of Mordialloc has a bridge over the Mordialloc Creek. Bridgework on this bridge commenced 18 June 2007 and is expected to take approximately 15 months - due to contract works being conducted between 9am and 5pm. [3] Traffic exiting the Mornington Peninsula has been severely affected by the combination of this bridge work, and the EastLink works being performed on the Frankston freeway, leading to extreme frustration for residents of suburbs such as Seaford, Carrum, Chelsea, and Frankston. As a result, with the support of local businesses, Inga Peulich - Member for the South Eastern Metropolitan Region created a Parliamentary Petition to review the schedule for the current works. [4] Travel times to the city have increased by up to one hour due to the combination of these roadworks.
