★ A 'festival' celebrated in some towns and cities of Spain which commemorates the ''Reconquista''; see ''Moros y Cristianos''.

★ A 'children's game' played in the Philippines, similar to ''Cops and Robbers'' or ''Cowboys and Indians'' in the United States. This game must have come to the Philippines after the conquest by the Spanish after 1521, where the ''Moros'' are the Asian Muslims who came to Southeast Asia a century before the Spanish exploration of the New World.
