MOUNT'S BAY RFC


'Mount's Bay RFC' are a Cornish rugby club formed in December 1999 based in Penzance , UK. Initially formed as an off shoot from Penzance and Newlyn RFC the club is now an independant club. Mount's Bay where promoted at the end of the 2006/7 season and next season will join the National Leagues playing in National League 3 South.

At season end Mounts Bay have had another very successful year, Mounts Bay are promoted to the National Leagues after finishing as champions of Southwest 1 with three games to play. The team has also reached two finals, the Cornwall County Cup where they played Redruth two leagues higher than Mounts Bay. Bay losing this one, on Sunday 15th April, Bay made their first visit to Twickenham in the EDF Energy Intermediate Cup Final against Dunstablians.
Mounts Bay won the match and completed a Cornish Trophy double they won the game 46-36
Mounts Bay RFC has a very successful supporters club called The Boarding Party.
In August 2007 they signed Cornish lock Richard Carroll.
