Mukim Serasa

'Serasa' is the easternmost and northernmost mukim in the Brunei-Muara district of Brunei. It contains the largest port in the country - Muara Port. It is bounded by the South China Sea to the north, the Brunei Bay to the east and south and Mukim Mentiri to the west. It is the northernmost mukim in Brunei.

Mukim Serasa contains Pekan Muara which can be subdivided into:

Muara Town (Pekan Muara) Centre

Kampong Masjid Lama to the south of Muara Town Centre

Kampong Sabun to the west and north-west, including the military barracks

Kampong Tanjung Batu

Kampong Pelumpong, and the area towards Tanjung Pelumpong

Muara Beach

Muara Port
Immediately adjacent to Pekan Muara is Kampong Serasa which can be further subdivided to:

Kampong Serasa is immediately adjacent to Pekan Muara to the south-west. This includes the industrial area and the ferry terminal.

Kampong Perpindahan Serasa to the south of Kampong Serasa
Together, the Muara-Serasa area forms the largest urban conurbation in the mukim.
The other villages in the mukim include those on Jalan Muara:

Kampong Meragang is located between the Muara-Tutong Highway and Jalan Muara

Kampong Kapok is located along Jalan Muara west of Kampong Serasa

Kampong Pengalayan is located along Jalan Muara south-west of Kampong Kapok

Kampong Salar is located along Jalan Muara south-west of Kampong Pengalayan

Tanjong Pelumpong, a spit which was converted into a man-made island by the dredging of the channel to Muara Port.

Muara Besar Island (Pulau Muara Besar), the largest island in Brunei

Istana Aman Nurul at Tanjung Batu

Muara Naval Base of the Royal Brunei Navy

Brooketon Colliery, the former coal mine, now closed

Royal Brunei Yacht Club in Serasa

Serasa Beach
