GLOBOSAT
(Redirected from Multishow)
'Globosat' is a multichannel cable and satellite TV service in Brazil, created in 1991, after the creation of cable and satellite TV services. It used to have one channel in Portugal but it doesn't exist anymore since April 2006.
In 1993, Globosat split its content generation and distribution businesses. Cable TV sales and distribution was assigned to Net Brasil, which was also responsible for installing cable networks in selected cities. Nowadays Net Brasil is responsible for the cable network in those cities. Content production and programming remained with Globosat, renamed to Globosat Programadora.
