'Sky King, Inc.' is a charter airline based out of Sacramento, CA. Sky King was founded by Gregg Lukenbill in July of 1990, who had a partnership with the NBA's Sacramento Kings. Now the airline provides charter service to sports teams and businesses using the Boeing 737 aircraft sporting various seat configurations.
Sky King, Inc. operates the Boeing 737-200 aircraft. They are mostly old aircraft retired by legacy carriers such as United Airlines and Delta Air Lines, all of which vary in capacity and seating arrangement.

From March 2007 until May 2007, Sky King operated scheduled service as Myrtle Beach Direct Air. The contract was terminated in favor of Xtra Airways due to reason unknown at this time. [1]
★ In early 2006, Sky King was fined more than $20,000 for violating the 11:30 p.m. curfew at San Jose International Airport while transporting the San Jose Sharks hockey team.[2]
