NACELLA TERRORIS

'''Nacella terroris''' is a limpet gastropod mollusc of the family Nacellidae, endemic to New Zealand. It is found around New Zealand's sub-Antarctic Campbell Island.
The shell is more broadly ovate than ''Nacella macquariensis'' and less variable. It has the radials evenly developed and very numerous, about 50. The whole surface is crossed by dense, crisp, undulating growth lamellae.
Coloration is reddish to greenish-brown externally, with the interior light purplish-grey, densely radially lined in a darker tone of the same colour, and with irregular blotches of bronzy reddish-brown over the central area.
Maximum shell length is 62 mm, width 50 mm, and height 33 mm.
