NATIONAL AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM

National Automobile Museum Logo

The 'National Automobile Museum', located just south of the Truckee River in Reno, Nevada, displays historic automobiles from the late 19th Century up to the 1960s and in some cases later. Most of the vehicles displayed are from the collection of the late casino owner William F. Harrah, and so the museum is sometimes referred to as 'The Harrah Collection'.
The museum's holdings include a V-16 Cadillac, a Duesenberg, a 24k gold plated American Express Delorean DMC-12, and numerous air-cooled Franklin automobiles in addition to other early or notable automobiles as Dymaxion car. Also of note is the "Jerarri." This is a full-size Jeep SUV fitted with a V-12 Ferrari engine and formerly used by William F. Harrah.
Interested persons can "adopt" a car, and assume responsibility for regular cleaning and appearance preservation.
The museum also hosts the Off-road Motorsports Hall of Fame.
