NATIONAL PSORIASIS FOUNDATION

The 'National Psoriasis Foundation' is a patient-driven, non-profit US-based psoriasis education and advocacy group. The National Psoriasis Foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life of the millions of Americans with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis by promoting awareness, ensuring access to treatment and supporting research that will lead to a cure.
The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is funded through individual contributions as well as corporate grants and contributions. The pharmaceutical companies Amgen, Wyeth, Biogen Idec, Centocor, Genentech are producers of biologic medications for psoriasis and are major financial contributors to the NPF. For fiscal year 2006, 43% of the foundation's revenue came from individual contributions, 26% was corporate, 24% bequests and legacies, 2% foundation contributions and 5% other.
