NEAL SHAPIRO
'Neal Shapiro' was installed as president of PBS station Thirteen/WNET New York City in February 2007. Shapiro is a former president of NBC News; Before that he was the Executive producer of Dateline guiding it from one night a week to five nights a week.
He departed NBC in September 2005. Shapiro has also taught at both his alma mater, Tufts University, and Columbia University.
He attended Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar, New York, graduating in 1976. In 2005, Neal was inducted into the school's hall of fame.
He has won Emmy Awards, DuPont-Columbia Awards, Sigma Delta Chi Awards and Chris Awards.
