NEW (SONG)

"'New'" was the first single released from the No Doubt album ''Return of Saturn''. The song was written for the soundtrack to the movie ''Go''. The song discusses lead singer Gwen Stefani's early relationship with Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale, whom she later married in 2002.
The song is heavily influenced by New Wave music. In it, guitar pedals and effects are used to distort the sound of Adrian Young's drums.[1]
