NEW YORK STATE PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

The 'New York State Public High School Athletic Association' (NYSPHSAA) is a non-profit, voluntary, educational service organization composed of public, parochial, and private schools in New York State. A member of the National Federation of State High School Associations, it has 11 numbered sections.

Section One is comprised of 49 schools divided into 2 divisions, 1 Large School division and 1 Small School division. Currently, there are 35 high schools in Section One’s large school wrestling division and 14 high schools in Section One’s small school wrestling division.
Geographically, Section One Wrestling comprises the southeastern New York State counties of Westchester, Putnam, Duchess and parts of Rockland.
