NORMAN DUBIE
'Norman Dubie' (born April 10, 1945) is a major American poet.
Born in Barre, Vermont, Dubie is the author of over eighteen books, often assuming historical personae in his works. Dubie's poetry has been included in major journals of poetry including: ''The New Yorker'', ''Ploughshares'', ''The Paris Review'', and ''Blackbird'', an online journal of literature and the arts as well as the ''Norton Anthology of Modern Poetry''. A recipient of numerous fellowships (including National Endowment for the Arts and Ingram-Merrill) and awards, Dubie is a graduate of the Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa. He teaches in the graduate Creative Writing Program at Arizona State University, in Tempe AZ, where he is Regent's Professor of English.
