'Norman 'Nugget' May' is a well known Australian Radio and Television sports broadcaster famous in Australia for calling “GOLD, GOLD for Australia, GOLD” during the mens 4 x 100 freestyle final in the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. His career in Sports Broadcasting began in the 1950s and extended well past his official retirement from the ABC in 1984. [1][2]
