NORTH WESTERN TRAINS
'North Western Trains' was a train operating company that operated train serivces in the North West of England. It was awarded the North Western franchise on the 2nd March 1997, following the privatisation of British Rail.[1] Its parent company, Great Western Trains, was bought out by FirstGroup plc in 1998. All services were rebranded First North Western.
