NORTHERN DISTRICTS KNIGHTS

The 'Northern Districts Knights' is one of six New Zealand first class cricket teams that make up New Zealand Cricket.
It is based in the northern half of the North Island of New Zealand (excluding Auckland). It competes in the State Championship first class competition and the State Shield domestic one day competition.
The Knights have some of New Zealand's best cricket players including Daniel Vettori, Hamish and James Marshall as well as some other good performers including B.J. Watling, Graeme Aldridge and Rene Ferdinands.
They were the winners of the 2005 State Shield.

Northern Districts Cricket is comprised of 6 District Associations : Northland, Counties Manukau, Hamilton, Waikato Valley, Bay Of Plenty, and Poverty Bay.
