NORTHROP GRUMMAN SHIP SYSTEMS
'Northrop Grumman Ship Systems' (NGSS) is the division of Northrop Grumman Corporation responsible for building small and medium shipping products. A separate sector of Northrop Grumman, Northrop Grumman Newport News, is responsible for nuclear submarines and supercarriers.
NGSS consists of the former Ingalls Shipbuilding and Avondale Shipyard companies.
NGSS repaired the USS ''Cole'' after it was damaged in an attack in Yemen.
NGSS built three Sa'ar 5-class missile boats for Israel, based on Israeli designs. These ships include the INS Eilat (1993), INS Lahav (1993) and the INS Hanit (1994).
