TEXAS INSTRUMENTS OMAP

'Texas Instruments OMAP' is a Texas Instruments proprietary microprocessor for multimedia applications. Some of the processors in the OMAP family contain a dual-core architecture consisting of both a general-purpose host ARM processor and one or more DSP. The digital signals processor featured is commonly one or another variant of the Texas Instruments TMS320 series DSPs.
Per the TI website, the OMAP families are broken into "High Performance", "Basic Multimedia", and "Modem and Applications".
★ OMAP3430 (expected in 2007) - ARM Cortex A8 + ISP (Image Signal Processor) + PowerVR SGX 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator + IVA2+ (Imaging and Video Accelerator). Will be manufactured in 65 nm and later in 45 nm.
★ OMAP3420 (expected in 2008) - ARM Cortex A8 + ISP (Image Signal Processor) + PowerVR SGX 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator + IVA2+ (Imaging and Video Accelerator). Will be manufactured in 65 nm and later in 45 nm.
★ OMAP3410 (expected in 2008) - ARM Cortex A8 + ISP (Image Signal Processor) + IVA2+ (Imaging and Video Accelerator). Will be manufactured in 65 nm and later in 45 nm.
