OAKDALE MALL
'Oakdale Mall' is an enclosed shopping mall in Johnson City, New York, United States.
It offers many shops and stores, including anchor stores Sears (153,694 sq. ft.), Macy's (140,000 sq. ft.), JCPenney (88,318 sq. ft.), Bon-Ton (80,000 sq. ft.) and Burlington Coat Factory (84,983 sq. ft.).
Montgomery Ward opened a store on the site of the Oakdale Mall in 1973. Two years later, the mall itself opened, with Fowler's and JCPenney as additional anchors. Sears and Bradlees were added in 1980. Fowler's converted to Hess's, and then to Bon-Ton, in the 1980s. Bradlees closed and was replaced with Burlington Coat Factory; Montgomery Ward was demolished for Kaufmann's, which converted to Macy's in 2003.
