'Olang (Valdaora)' (Italian: ''Valdaora''; German: ''Olang''; Archaic (985 AD): ''Olanga'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 100 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 60 km northeast of the city of Bolzano (Bozen). As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,878 and an area of 49.0 km².^[1]
The municipality of Olang (Valdaora) contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sorafurcia, Valdaora di Mezzo, Valdaora di Sotto, and Valdaora di Sopra.
Olang (Valdaora) borders the following municipalities: Bruneck (Brunico), Mareo ''(it. Marebbe; de. Enneberg)'', Prags (Braies), Rasen-Antholz (Rasun Anterselva), and Welsberg-Taisten (Monguelfo-Tesido).
