ORDER OF ST. JOHN

There are several orders of chivalry called the 'Order of Saint John', which claim as their origins the Knights Hospitaller Christian crusading order. These are the:

★ Sovereign Military Order of Malta, based in Rome

★ Venerable Order of Saint John, based in London, who direct St. John Ambulance.

★ Order of St. John (Protestant Continental Europe), based in Potsdam

★ Russian tradition of the Knights Hospitaller, based in St. Petersburg and Paris
