OVDA

'Ovda' ( ''uvda'') is the name of a region in the southern Negev desert, directly north of Eilat.
The name derives from the Hebrew word ''uvda'' (meaning fact), and is simply an incorrect transliteration of the word commonly used in English today. The region was captured in Operation Ovda of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, when the Israel Defense Forces entered the area with the stated aim of 'establishing facts on the ground', hence the name.
Today, the name can rever to several things:

Ovda Israeli Air Force Base

Ovda International Airport

Ovda Valley

Operation Ovda
