PACIFIC GROVE HIGH SCHOOL
Pacific Grove High School (PGHS) is a public high school located in Pacific Grove, California, between Carmel and Monterey.

History
The City of Pacific Grove formed the Pacific Grove Unified School District in 1895. On June 18, 1896 the City passed a bond issue to build the town's first high school. This school, Pacific Grove High, becomes Monterey County's first high school. The first class graduated in June of 1898. The school has since then changed locations twice, to its current location on Sunset Avenue.
Current Status
PGHS currently has a student population hovering between 550 and 650.
As of 2007, the school administration is led by Stan Dodd, principal and Todd Buller, vice principal.
