PAGLIARA

'Pagliara' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 180 km east of Palermo and about 25 km southwest of Messina. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,223 and an area of 14.6 km².^[1]
The municipality of Pagliara contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rocchenere and Locadi.
Pagliara borders the following municipalities: Furci Siculo, Mandanici, Roccalumera, Santa Lucia del Mela.
