The 'Palatinate Forest' () is the biggest coherent forest of Europe. It lies in southwestern Germany, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is named after the Palatinate region, in which it lies. The Palatinate Forest covers 1,771 km². Its highest elevation is the Kalmit, 673 m, near Edenkoben. Together with the northern part of the adjacent Vosges Mountains in France it forms the UNESCO Biosphere reserve Pfälzer Wald-Vosges du Nord.
